It is with immense sadness that I need to inform you that, following over three decades of dedication to 'doing things differently' in the arena of special interest group travel, we have taken the incredibly difficult decision to close down as an active company.

Many events and issues have led us to this point.

Personal health challenges, hugely unfavourable international trading conditions, increasingly unreliable international travel services, the many and varied impacts that Brexit and Covid have had alongside a variety of other issues), have, together, rendered our particular brand of group travel arrangements, essentially nonviable.

We leave in our wake, many magical memories of people, places, and events.

It has been an incredible privilege to have been in a position to facilitate so much positive interaction between the people who have chosen to travel with us and the people and places that they themselves have encountered during our carefully crafted holidays.

Throughout our endeavour, we strove to partner with similarly minded travel partners internationally, the majority of whom added massive value to our own input, particularly in destinations of hugely contrasting cultures to our own. South Africa, India, South America, Iceland, and even Hungary, spring to mind.

Many of these business arrangements grew to significant long-term friendships over time.

Finally, I should like to pay tribute to just a few of the many key team members at Personal Touch, without whom, none of what we achieved would have been possible (sincerest apologies to those not mentioned).

Sharon, my sadly deceased wife, who built the company 'in her own image', imbuing it with joy, determination, and drive.

Michelle, the caring, efficient and exemplary administrative lynchpin in all that we did, And John, our finance director. A finer, more honest, and more compassionate finance director than I ever expected to encounter in my lifetime.

To those that elected to travel with us, many, several times a year, I should like to extend my unbounded gratitude.

It's been a beautiful journey.
